Stuart Dallas has wished Helder Costa ‘good luck’ on Instagram after Leeds United loaned him out to Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad.

The 28-year-old links up with his old Wolves boss, Nuno Espirito Santo, who signed up the winger from Portugal when the Midlands side were in the Championship – it is said that the deal can become permanent next summer, as reported by the Daily Mail.

Costa was loaned out to Spanish giants Valencia last season, when Marcelo Bielsa was in charge, but it seems as though Jesse Marsch wasn’t overly keen on keeping him on board upon his return to Yorkshire.

The versatile winger was outstanding for Wolves in England’s second-tier, but he struggled in the Premier League when they were promoted.

That’s when Leeds came knocking for his talents, once again, he played a part in them earning promotion to England’s top-flight, but he was never a regular.

Nonetheless, Dallas posted in the comments section of Costa’s IG post ‘what a guy and good luck mate’ when the deal was confirmed, whilst Liam Cooper added ‘All the best Helds’.

A PRODUCTIVE SUMMER SO FAR

It has been a pretty busy summer transfer window for those in the Elland Road boardroom, from selling two key players and bringing in big talents for Jesse Marsch to work with.

Brendan Aaronson was one of those players who arrived from RB Salzburg and the attacking midfielder impressed as Leeds came from behind to beat Wolves 2-1 on Saturday.

A number of weeks remain before the 2022 summer transfer window slams shut and it will be interesting to see what last few pieces get completed.

In terms of outs, there aren’t probably going to be any high-profile exits now, but when it comes to incomings, Leeds fans should remain on the edge of their seats.

Marseille attacker Bamba Dieng has been spoken about as a possible arrival, but Leeds face competition from the likes of Celtic and Nottingham Forest for his signature.
