Bamba Dieng is a player in demand, with Jesse Marsch’s Leeds United and Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic among the clubs linked with the Marseille forward.

90min reported last week that Leeds, West Ham United and Newcastle United are interested in signing Dieng from Marseille in the summer transfer window.

Then this week French outlet Homme Du Match reported that defending Scottish Premiership Celtic are also looking at securing the services of the 22-year-old Senegal international forward.

We covered the report here on HITC Sport.

Concerns

And now Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth has reported on Twitter that Dieng is worried about getting regular playing time at Marseille this season due to the signing of Alexis Sanchez.

French club Marseille have announced this evening that they have signed former Arsenal and Manchester United forward Sanchez on a free transfer following his departure from Inter Milan.

Sanchez may be 33 now, but the Chile international forward is surely not joining Marseille to be a squad player.

Stats

Dieng made 11 starts and 14 substitute appearances in Ligue 1 for Marseille last season.

The Senegalese scored seven goals and gave one assist in those matches.

The 22-year-old also made three starts and two substitute appearances in the UEFA Europa League for Marseille last season.
