West Ham United manager David Moyes wants to sign Manchester United target Dan-Axel Zagadou in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun.

The Sun have reported that West Ham are keen on securing the services of Zagadou, who is a free agent at the moment after leaving Borussia Dortmund.

The 23-year-old defender is in talks with many clubs, including Inter Milan and AS Roma.

Moyes sees the youngster as an ideal replacement for Issa Diop, who is on the radar of Fulham, according to the report.

Interestingly, Moyes’s former club Manchester United have also been linked with Zagadou.

MediaFootFrance reported last month that the Red Devils are looking at signing the Frenchman despite landing Lisandro Martinez from Ajax already this summer.

Could West Ham United sign Manchester United target Dan-Axel Zagadou?

In our view, West Ham United could struggle to sign Dan-Axel Zagadou ahead of huge clubs such as Inter Milan and Manchester United.

Inter and Roma will challenge for the Serie A title this season, while Manchester United are arguably the biggest club in England.

Now, of course, we know that the Hammers are big and ambitious, and Moyes will surely love to sign a player his former club Manchester United also want, but the Scotsman could just miss out.
