Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United are competing with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal for Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane, according to The Mirror.

Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal linked with Leroy Sane

The Mirror have reported that Manchester United have ‘have made a surprise enquiry’ about the availability of Bayern star Sane in the summer transfer window.

The report has claimed that Liverpool manager Klopp ‘is a known admirer’ of the 26-year-old former Manchester City winger, who earns £280,000 per week as salary (SalarySport).

Arsenal have also been linked with the Germany international winger.

Speaking on The Done Deal Show in July 2022, CBS journalist Ben Jacobs reported that Arsenal have been considering the winger.

Could a Premier League return happen?

In our view, Bayern Munich are unlikely to let Leroy Sane leave in the summer transfer window despite interest from Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal.

True, Sane has not had the best of times at Bayern since joining from Manchester City in 2020.

And the Bavarian giants have also signed Sadio Mane from Liverpool this summer.

However, Bayern will surely want to have a strong squad in order to win the UEFA Champions League this season as well as the Bundesliga.

And Sane is still a quality winger who is only 26 and is an important member of the team.

The winer made 22 starts in the Bundesliga and nine starts in the UEFA Champions League last season.
