Darwin Nunez has posted on Instagram ‘this is just the beginning’ after scoring on his Premier League debut for Liverpool during their 2-2 draw against Fulham on Saturday.

Jurgen Klopp’s side had to come back from behind on two occasions to seal a point on the opening weekend of the new Premier League season, and when Nunez reacted on social media to that result, Sevilla midfielder, Ivan Rakitic, applauded him in the comments section.

That’s a goal on his official debut, which came in the Community Shield against Manchester City, and now on his first appearance in England’s top-flight.

Either way, it’s a great start for the big-money transfer capture, who was ridiculed in a stupid manner after just his first few pre-season games for the club.

Whilst those noises are being made outside, Nunez is doing the talking on the field of play and ensuring that the Reds don’t miss summer departee, Sadio Mane, too much.

Nonetheless, this is what Nunez posted on IG after he made his Premier League debut for the club and helped them avoid defeat on an afternoon to forget at Craven Cottage.

Roberto Firmino has started Liverpool’s last two games, producing his magic against Manchester City, but not at Fulham.

On both occasions, Nunez has come off the bench, change the tide of the game, and most importantly, found the back of the net.

Liverpool’s first home game of the new Premier League season will be against Patrick Vieira’s Crystal Palace, so does Nunez deserve a start?

Well, Klopp has eased him in during these first few weeks and might want to continue that next Monday at Anfield.

But the South American star has to start sometime, and in truth, he is earning it given what he is producing from the bench.
