Speaking on The Done Deal Show, Ben Jacobs has been discussing some of Leicester City’s transfer plans amid some massive interest in their players.
The likes of Youri Tielemans, Wesley Fofana, James Maddison and even Jamie Vardy have been linked with moves away from the King Power Stadium.
This week, rumours surrounding Fofana and Maddison have gone into overdrive amid reported interest from Chelsea and Newcastle, but according to Jacobs, Leicester are only willing to sell one of those two players, even if the right offers come in.
What’s been said?
Jacobs shared what he knows about Fofana and Maddison.
“Leicester haven’t signed anyone, last season due to injuries they were defensively very thin. They are now hopeful of getting a Tielemans fee and then one more could go out the door, but I’ve been categorically told that Maddison and Fofana won’t both be sold this summer, there’s even no guarantee that either of them will be allowed to move,” Jacobs said.

Move quickly
If Newcastle and Chelsea are both serious about these deals, they need to move very quickly to get them done.
Newcastle have missed out on one too many targets this summer, and if they can’t land Maddison because Chelsea get to Fofana first, that will sting.
Of course, a move to Chelsea is probably more alluring to Fofana than a move to Newcastle for Maddison. After all, the Blues won the Champions League just two years ago and are perennial silverware challengers.
Newcastle fans won’t like to hear it, but it wouldn’t be surprising in the slightest if Fofana ended up at Chelsea, blocking the pathway for Maddison to head to St James’ Park.
