A livestream date leak for the Genshin Impact update 3.0 special programme preview has emerged and we already know three new characters that will be part of banners.
There’s lots to look forward to with the next chapter of miHoYo’s free-to-play epic. Not only are we getting three new heroes with two using the Dendro element, but we are also getting a fresh explorable playground named Sumeru.
Everything revealed so far promises to be fantastic, and the special programme preview should happen next week.

When is the Genshin Impact 3.0 livestream date?
Zeniet has leaked that the Genshin Impact update 3.0 livestream date is within two weeks after August 3rd, meaning it should start between August 12th and 14th.
MiHoYo’s special programme previews usually air on either Friday or Saturday, but they have happened on Sunday, too. Either way, it should happen next week which was expected as the release date for the next chapter is August 24th.
While the livestream happening next week isn’t surprising, Zeniet has also revealed that the special programme preview for 3.1 will happen on September 15th. This and a leak from Plusle (via Reddit) suggests 3.0 will only last five weeks with 3.1 coming out on September 28th.
Of course, none of the above is official as of writing. We will update this article with times and how to watch when miHoYo make their official announcement.
Confirmed banner characters
The confirmed new banner characters for Genshin Impact update 3.0 prior to its livestream are Collei, Tighnari, and Dori.
All three of these upcoming heroes were revealed on the game’s official Twitter account. Collei and Tighnari boast the Dendro element, meanwhile Dori is an Electro.
Honey Hunter World has revealed that Tighnari is a five-stars protagonist, meanwhile Collei and Dori are four-stars only.
According to the often reliable Lumie (via Teyvat Tabloid), Tighnari and Collei will both debut as part of phase one on August 24th. This means Dori will appear in phase two.
