Tottenham Hotspur could hold talks with AS Roma director Tiago Pinto over Nicolo Zaniolo, according to Alfredo Pedullà.

The well-known and well-respected journalist has claimed that Roma director Pinto has made a trip to London.

Talks with Tottenham over Zaniolo could happen, according to the report, which has added that AS Roma are willing to sell the 23-year-old Italy international attacking midfielder for €45-50 million (£37.85-42.17 million).

Could Tottenham Hotspur sign Nicolo Zaniolo from AS Roma?

In our view, if Tottenham Hotspur pay what AS Roma want, then they would be able to sign Nicolo Zaniolo in the summer transfer window.

Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte personally wants the Italy international attacking midfielder, described as a footballer who has “incredible potential” by former AS Roma player Zbigniew Boniek in New Sound Radio in July.

And if Roma are willing to sell him for a price, then Tottenham should pay it, or at least consider paying it so that Conte can start working with him straightaway.

Zaniolo made 23 starts and five substitute appearances in Serie A last season.

The Italy international scored two goals and gave two assists in those games.

Tottenham would be a better and more potent team with Zaniolo in it.
