Jamie O’Hara has shockingly claimed that Arsenal should ‘get rid’ of William Saliba and sell the young defender, as he told talkSPORT.

The former midfielder claimed that Saliba ‘obviously isn’t good enough’ for Arsenal given that he has been loaned out twice by the club in recent times.

Last season, the ball-playing defender spent the season at French giants, Marseille, where his performances earned him a call up to France.

The 21-year-old was signed by Arsenal in 2019, when Unai Emery was in charge, but that first senior appearance for his parent club still alludes him.

That will no doubt come when the new Premier League season kicks off on Friday, as O’Hara shared his thoughts on Saliba.

“He has been there for three seasons and you have loaned him out twice,” said O’Hara. “Then he obviously isn’t good enough. Get rid of him.”

SALBIA IS MORE THAN GOOD ENOUGH

It’s pretty pathetic that O’Hara is saying that Saliba isn’t good enough, based on two loan spells, which took place when he was a teenager.

O’Hara never got to play for his country, but Saliba at 21, has achieved what the former Tottenham midfielder didn’t, and that is getting recognition on the international stage.

So, perhaps he should respect the talents of the rising star first, before babbling on about how he should be sold.

Saying that, the pundit’s comments might come back to bite him because Spurs and Arsenal will be battling it out once again for Champions League football ahead of the new Premier League season.

And Saliba is expected to play a key role, so O’Hara has spoken a bit too soon, especially if the Frenchman turns it on this season.
