The 2020 ‘Nathaniel B’ video has taken over TikTok, earning 1.5 million views since it was published on Sunday, July 31st.

The footage, which was shared by TikTok user @oscar_dozzz, features a freestyle rap battle from a group of students of a high school football club.

Creator explains the story behind the video

The creator behind the famous line, who is called Prince Maj on TikTok, has finally addressed the context of the story.

In a video shared on Monday (August 1st), the TikToker said that it all happened when he had a day off practice between his freshman and sophomore year.

Their coach organised a fun day for the team and team members decided to have a freestyle rap battle in the field.

Prince Mai said that he personally knew his music opponent, aka ‘Nathaniel B, when he decided to poke fun by calling him with that nickname.

This wasn’t his real name, Prince Maj explained in his video, it was the guy’s younger brother’s name. The TikToker said that he thought it would be cool to call him by his brother’s name.
