Nottingham Forest have joined the growing list of Premier League clubs interested in signing VfL Wolfsburg talent Omar Marmoush, with Arsenal, Brentford and Tottenham all in the mix for the winger.
According to Kicker via Fussball Transfers, the newly-promoted Premier League side are eyeing a move for Marmoush, who is set to leave Wolfsburg this summer with the attacker coming off the back of a great loan spell with VfB Stuttgart as well as having just one year remaining on his current deal.
As per the report, La Liga side Espanyol are also interested in signing Marmoush, but it’s the Premier League where the attacker is now most likely to end up, with Forest joining the strong competition to land the Egyptian international before the closure of the window.
Steve Cooper’s side have been extremely busy in the market this summer making 12 signings in total, and the Bundesliga has been an area of interest from Forest, with four of their new arrivals all coming from the Germany top-flight, and Marmoush could now bring that tally up to five.
An elegant winger who Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah is a huge fan of, Marmoush broke onto the scene last season whilst out on loan with Stuttgart, so much so that Wolfsburg now reportedly value the 23-year-old Cairo-born forward at £20m, a record fee if Forest were to sign the youngster.
Indeed, with Arsenal and Tottenham also reportedly interested in Marmoush as well as Brentford, competition is strong for the Egyptian international this summer, and for Forest, they could have well met their match already for the Bundesliga star given how much they have already done in the market this year.
Forest could struggle to sign Marmoush given the competition

Forest have impressed a lot of people this summer with the players they have managed to recruit, yet whilst Marmoush would be another impressive and realistic signing, the competition for the Bundesliga talent is simply too great for Cooper to pull off another miracle.
After all, Arsenal and Tottenham are still reportedly interested in Marmoush, and with Brentford also in the mix, Forest could miss out on the Wolfsburg winger to a Premier League rival who could offer a more exciting project than the newly-promoted top-flight side.
