Oleksandr Zinchenko has been left wowed by Gabriel Jesus and labelled his fellow summer signing as a ‘phenomenon’, as he posted on his Instagram story.

Mikel Arteta used his old contacts well because the duo secured transfers to Arsenal from Manchester City this summer after winning their fourth Premier League title last season.

Ahead of the club’s Premier League opener against Crystal Palace on Friday night, they will be expected to start at Selhurst Park.

But it’s what Jesus has been doing in pre-season that has got fans excited, the Arsenal faithful, who weren’t able to be part of their USA trip, got to see the Brazil star up, close and personal, and he didn’t disappoint by scoring a hat-trick during his side’s 6-0 win over Sevilla.

Yes, they are all unofficial games and the real test will begin this week, but at the end of the day, it’s some start for Jesus in Arsenal colours, as Zinchenko posted on his IG ‘Let’s go, phenomenon.’

HOW MANY GOALS CAN JESUS SCORE THIS SEASON?

The 25-year-old’s best tally in the Premier League is scoring 14 goals and he will need to match that, and from his perspective, better it if he is to have an outstanding campaign.

The great thing with Jesus is that he can cause problems without getting on the scoresheet because he is such an intelligent footballer, with great vision and movement in the final third.

However, in north London, he is going to play a more central role, and that on a regular basis, so he will be expected to be more lethal in front of goal.

That part of his game has perhaps been questioned before and how he takes too many touches in the box or doesn’t have that clinical edge to his game.

Well, pre-season has suggested otherwise and now fans will see just how well they can translate form from the summer into the new season.
