Everton are chasing Idrissa Gueye and now appear to be closing in on a deal to sign the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder this summer.
The summer transfer window has suddenly become rather busy for Everton.
This time last week, James Tarkowski was the only new face at Goodison Park after joining on a free transfer from Burnley.
Yet Kevin Thelwell then struck two deals, bringing in Sporting left back Ruben Vinagre and Burnley winger Dwight McNeil.
With the Premier League season drawing ever closer, Everton are now pushing for another important signing.
Everton are chasing Idrissa Gueye
Reports in recent days have heavily linked Everton with a move to re-sign midfielder Gueye from Paris Saint-Germain.
Claims from France even suggest that Gueye wanted to prove himself to new PSG boss Christophe Galtier, but has changed his mind now Everton want him.
Gueye joined Everton for just £7.1million back in 2016 but was sold to PSG for huge profit at £30million in 2019.
Gueye was loved at Everton for his relentless, energetic performances in the heart of midfield after arriving from Aston Villa.

A return would provide a major boost for Frank Lampard and a deal now appears to be in the pipeline.
Fabrizio Romano has taken to Twitter to claim that Everton are closing in on a deal to re-sign Gueye three years after selling him.
Romano adds that final details are now being discussed this week and Everton are optimistic about securing his return.
Gueye, 32, is into the final year of his PSG deal and will surely move for much less than that £30million fee from 2019.
The Senegal international is seemingly jumping at the chance to return to Goodison Park and that experience may be just what Everton need after their struggles last season.
