Tottenham Hotspur could steal a march on Juventus this weekend in their pursuit of Nicolo Zaniolo.
At least, that’s what Tuttosport have reported today.
According to the Italian outfit, Tottenham might have a slight advantage over their Serie A counterparts in the race to sign the Roma attacker.
That’s because Tuttosport have claimed that Spurs supremo Fabio Paratici will be able to meet his opposite number, Tiago Pinto, this weekend to talk about the 23-year-old.
The Lilywhites are gearing up to take on Jose Mourinho’s side in a pre-season friendly on Saturday.
And the North Londoners are ready to ‘put the arrow’ on Zaniolo at the weekend in the form of official talks.
This is a player who Antonio Conte is reportedly desperate to sign.
Earlier this week, CMW claimed that Conte wanted Zaniolo ‘at all costs’ and although it’s far from sure that he’ll join Tottenham, Tuttosport also intimated that he wouldn’t be immune to the Spurs manager’s ‘charisma’.
The Italy international would be Conte and Paratici’s seventh addition of what’s been an exceptional window, if the transfer materialises before anyone else.
Tottenham have signed Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, Yves Bissouma, Richarlison, Clement Lenglet and Djed Spence so far this summer.
