Tottenham Hotspur defender Japhet Tanganga is waiting in confidence that he will sign for AC Milan this summer after rejecting a host of bids from interested Premier League teams.
That’s according to Calciomercato, who report Tanganga wants to move to the San Siro ‘at all costs’. He is the Rossoneri’s primary target to replace former captain Alessio Romagnoli, having allowed the Italian’s contract to expire on the back of winning Serie A last season.

Tottenham managing director Fabio Paratici has already met with his opposing numbers at AC Milan, technical director Paolo Maldini and sporting director Frederic Massara, to listen to their interest in Tanganga. The trio convened in Milan last week to start debating terms.
Maldini and Massara would prefer to sign Tanganga on loan with the option of purchasing him from Tottenham next summer. The centre-half has also aided their efforts by rejecting a host of offers from Premier League teams, with the San Siro the only option on his radar.

Antonio Conte only played the Spurs product in six of a possible 10 Premier League games last term before he suffered a campaign-ending knee injury, while starting in five. He also only featured at centre-half on three occasions, with further minutes from the right-flank.

Bournemouth are likely among the Premier League clubs that Tanganga has rejected in the hopes of AC Milan’s interest resulting in a deal with Tottenham. The Athletic noted earlier in July that Scott Parker’s recently-promoted side were in talks with Spurs over a transfer.
The Cherries were open to either a permanent or temporary transfer after finishing second in the Championship last term. But he is unlikely to move to the south coast unless Paratici prices the Rossoneri out of the market with the fees he demanded from the San Siro side.
Reports by CalcioMercatoWeb claim Paratici has told Maldini and Massara they must offer an obligation to buy worth €25m (£21m). It would not be impossible for AC Milan to reach an agreement with Tottenham in that price range to formalise their interest in Tanganga.
