Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur could make a second bid for AS Roma attacking midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo soon, according to Quotidiano Nazionale.

The report has claimed that Tottenham made an opening offer of £30 million for Roma star Zaniolo, but it was turned down.

However, Tottenham and Roma remain in talks over the transfer of the 23-year-old attacking midfielder.

Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte is pushing for Zaniolo and has asked the North London club ‘for an economic effort’ to get a deal done.

Quotidiano Nazionale have claimed that Tottenham could make a second bid for the 23-year-old soon, adding that Conte’s former club Juventus are also keen on Zaniolo, described as a footballer who has “incredible potential” by former AS Roma player Zbigniew Boniek in New Sound Radio this month.

Could Tottenham Hotspur sign Nicolo Zaniolo from AS Roma?

In our view, Tottenham Hotspur could be able to sign Nicolo Zaniolo from AS Roma in the summer transfer window.

It seems that Tottenham boss Conte is determined to secure the services of the 23-year-old this summer.

The Tottenham bosses trust the Italian boss, and they will be aware that Conte knows what he is doing.

Now, of course, Tottenham will have to meet Roma’s transfer demands, and the player himself needs to be convinced.

We think that a transfer could happen, as there is still a lot of time left in the summer window to strike a deal.

Zaniolo made 23 starts and five substitute appearances in Serie A last season.

The Italy international scored two goals and gave two assists in those games.
