Turkish giants Galatasaray are reportedly interested in signing Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele on loan, with Antonio Conte eager to offload the Frenchman this summer.

According to Media Foot, Galatasaray have made contact with Tottenham over information regarding the 25-year-old, with the north London side desperate to rid themselves of Ndombele this summer with the midfielder having no future at Spurs under Conte.

Ndombele is one of Tottenham’s most expensive signings ever and has been largely a flop during his three-year nightmare spell in the Premier League, with the former Olympique Lyonnais star returning to his boyhood club in January on a six-month loan spell.

And now Galatasaray could take Ndombele off Conte’s hands for the season, though there are of course major concerns over how the Turkish Super Lig side would be able to afford the midfielder given his reported £200,000-a-week wages, making the France international one of Tottenham’s highest-paid players, as well.

Indeed, with Conte making an incredible six senior signings this summer, Ndombele could be one of many first-team players to leave Tottenham in the coming weeks, with Bryan Gil, Giovani Lo Celso and Harry Winks just a few names who could also be heading out of north London before the transfer window shuts.

However, getting Ndombele to come to Galatasary would be a challenge. Whilst the Turkish side are regulars in European competitions, last season saw the Istanbul giants endure their worst ever season since being promoted to the top-flight, ending the year in 13th and with zero trophies.

To say Tottenham are desperate to offload Ndombele would be something of an understatement, yet whilst Galatasary would make sense given the size of the club, the Turkish giants would struggle to sign the midfielder and to convince him to join given just how bad the European powerhouses were last season.

After all, for the first time in years Galatasary won’t be competing in European football, and whilst Ndombele has flopped hard at Tottenham, there’s no denying that the Frenchman is more than capable of playing in the UEFA Champions League or even the UEFA Europa League, something Gala won’t be able to provide next season.
