Bayern Munich head coach Julian Nagelsmann has said that he would love to sign Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, as relayed by journalist Fabrizio Romano on Twitter.

Nagelsmann has outlined the attributes of Tottenham and England international striker Kane.

The Bayern boss has added that he understands that Kane is very expensive, but he is hopeful of a deal in the future.

Earlier this month, Kicker reported that Bayern have identified the £200,000-a-week striker (SalarySport) as a long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski, who has left for Barcelona.

Could a summer transfer happen?

In our view, Bayern Munich are unlikely to be able to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.

The new season will start soon, and Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is not going to sell arguably the best and most important player in the team.

Kane is 28 now, and, you could make an argument that he would want to win major trophies like the UEFA Champions League in his career.

Tottenham are not in a position to win such major trophies right now, and maybe Bayern could have better luck next summer or the summer after in signing the Englishman.

But for now, Kane is staying at Tottenham.
