Meet her husband

Liz is married to accountant Hugh O’Leary. He studied at the London School of Economics and it is believed he is of similar age to Liz, who is 46 years old.

The pair first met in 1997 at a Tory Party conference and went on a date soon after this.

Speaking to You about their first date, the PM candidate recalled: “I invited him ice skating and he sprained his ankle.”

Liz and Hugh tied the knot in 2000 and the couple celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary this year.

How many kids do they have?

Liz and Hugh have two daughters together, named Liberty and Frances.

There aren’t many details about them as Liz enjoys a huge media spotlight as a politician which might be why her family keeps a low-key profile for the time being.

The Foreign Secretary uploaded a picture of a birthday cake in 2020 which said ‘Frances 14’, meaning that her first child would be 16 years old this year.

Another post from Liz’s Instagram profile in 2018 said ‘Liberty 10’ which would make her other daughter 14.

In the same You interview, the PM candidate said about her eldest daughter: “She introduces me to places I wouldn’t think of much.”

Liz, her husband and their two children live in the market town Thetford, Norfolk.
