Armando Broja is pushing to join West Ham United as he seeks first-team football away from Chelsea moving forward.
West Ham have turned their attention towards signing a striker having bolstered other areas of David Moyes’ squad.
Defender Nayef Aguerd and midfielder Flynn Downes have arrived whilst goalkeeper Alphonse Areola is staying put after joining permanently.
Those are great additions to the West Ham squad but a new striker is absolutely paramount for Moyes.
Michail Antonio is now 32 and he can’t be West Ham’s only striker; it’s time for the Hammers to spend big on a new hitman.
Armando Broja is pushing to join West Ham United
The Athletic report that West Ham are now closing in on a deal to sign Chelsea striker Broja.
It’s stated that Broja has now left Chelsea’s pre-season tour in the United States in order to come back to London and finalise a move to West Ham.
West Ham will be paying around £25million up front and a further £5million in add-ons for Broja with a deal now moving closer.
The report even claims that Broja is the one pushing for the move as Chelsea have not been actively wanting to sell him.
Broja wants regular first-team football and knows her isn’t going to get that at Chelsea, so he wants to join West Ham.

Broja may still have a battle with Michail Antonio but would certainly know that he is the future of the West Ham attack.
The 20-year-old hit six goals in 32 games on loan at Southampton last season and showed huge potential.
This feels like a coup for West Ham, especially given that other clubs were also interested in signing him.
The Northern Echo reported earlier this month that Newcastle United were confident of beating West Ham in the race for Broja.
That hasn’t happened though and it instead looks like Broja will be a new West Ham player by the end of this week as Chelsea prepare to reluctantly sell.
