Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Lyon midfielder Lucas Paqueta in the summer transfer window.
Arsenal and Tottenham target Lucas Paqueta available for £34m
Earlier this month, ESPN Brasil reported that Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester City have held talks to sign Paqueta ‘in recent weeks’.
According to MediaFootMarseille last week, Arsenal manager Mikel Artetat personally wants to bring the Brazilian midfielder to the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal are leading the race for Paqueta, according to that particular report.
MediaFootMarseille are now reporting that Lyon will accept €40 million (£34.08 million) for the 24-year-old Brazil international midfielder.

This particular report suggests that Lyon are now willing to sell Paqueta for much less than they had initially wanted to, having been looking for £68m earlier this summer.
Bargain signing
In our view, for £34 million, Lyon midfielder Lucas Paqueta could be a bargain signing for Arsenal or Tottenham Hotspur.
The Brazilian is only 24 now, which means that he will improve and get better in the coming years.
Paqueta has been superb for Lyon since he moved to the French club in 2020 and has established himself as one of the better midfielders in Ligue 1.
Last season, the former AC Milan midfielder made 32 starts and three substitute appearances in Ligue 1 last season.
Paqueta scored nine goals and gave six assists in those matches.
The Lyon no. 10 also scored two goals and gave one assist in five Europa League starts last season.
