West Ham United want Gianluca Scamacca and Armando Broja and could end up signing both if the deals are there to be done this summer.

It’s clear that West Ham are now focusing on signing at least one new striker to bolster David Moyes’ front line.

Goalkeeper Alphonse Areola, defender Nayef Aguerd and midfielder Flynn Downes have arrived at the London Stadium this summer.

Michail Antonio needs real support in attack and West Ham appear to have two main targets for that role.

West Ham United want Gianluca Scamacca and Armando Broja

The two names heavily linked with West Ham of late are Sassuolo hitman Gianluca Scamacca and Chelsea’s Armando Broja.

West Ham made a move to hijack Paris Saint-Germain’s bid for Scamacca last week, with Sassuolo demanding £42million.

The Hammers have also been chasing Broja and Fabrizio Romano reports that West Ham are closing in on a £30million deal.

What’s interesting though is that Sky Sports claim West Ham haven’t ruled out the possibility of signing both players this summer.

That would be a staggering outlay of more than £70million but what a statement of intent this could be from West Ham.

Scamacca is one of Italian football’s top striking talents having racked up 16 goals in 36 appearances for Sassuolo last season.

A giant 6ft 5in striker, Scamacca would provide something a little different in the West Ham attack and beating PSG to a deal would be a major show of ambition.

Broja spent last season on loan at Southampton and impressed even though his goal record was just six in 32 games.

The Albanian talent looks to have huge potential and he showed the ability to fight with any defender last season – or run past them if given the chance.

Either Scamacca or Broja would give West Ham the second striker they are seeking, but with Antonio now 32, the Hammers could push for a stunning double deal.
