Jesse Marsch’s Leeds United FC and David Moyes’s West Ham United have joined Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool in the race for Rennes forward Martin Terrier, according to L’Equipe.

Leeds and West Ham join Liverpool in Martin Terrier race

L’Equipe have reported that Leeds and West Ham are among the clubs who are keen on signing Terrier from Rennes in the summer transfer window.

The French club will reportedly not sell the 25-year-old French star for anything less than €40 million (£33.95 million).

Liverpool have also been linked with Terrier.

The Mirror reported on May 31 that Liverpool are tracking Terrier as a replacement for Sadio Mane, who has left for German giants Bayern Munich.

The report claimed that the Reds see the Rennes forward ‘as the ideal player to replace Mane’.

Good player

In our view, Martin Terrier is a very good forward who will make Leeds, West Ham or Liverpool better.

The 25-year-old Frenchman can operate as a centre-forward, out wide on the left, in attacking midfielder or as a winger.

The Rennes star scored 21 goals and gave three assists in 37 Ligue 1 appearances last season.

Terrier scored nine goals and provided seven assists in 30 league starts for Rennes in 2020-21.

That Liverpool have reportedly identified Terrier as a replacement for Mane shows how highly he is rated in the footballing community.
