Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic are set to sign Aaron Mooy on a free transfer.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has claimed that there is an agreement in place between Celtic and former Manchester City midfielder Mooy over a move in the summer transfer window.
The 31-year-old Australia international midfielder is a free agent at the moment following his departure from Chinese club Shanghai Port.
Romano has said that Mooy will sign a contract with Celtic until June 2023, with an option to extend it for another season.
The deal will be completed this week, according to Romano.

Aaron Mooy to join Celtic on free transfer
Exciting
In our view, Aaron Mooy moving to Celtic is very exciting for the defending Scottish Premiership champions.
Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou wanted to sign his Australian compatriot in January 2022, according to a report in The Daily Mail in November 2021.
And it seems that Postecoglou is finally about to get Mooy.
Mooy did well during his time at Huddersfield Town and Brighton and Hove Albion, and he is still only 31.
Moreover, the Australian will come as a free transfer at Celtic, and that is certainly great.
