PSG have reportedly hit a roadblock in their attempt to sign Inter Milan star Milan Skriniar, with Tottenham also rumoured to be interested in the Slovakian international.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, negotiations between the two European giants have gone quiet despite PSG’s confidence in getting s deal done to sign Skriniar, with Inter believed to have raised their asking price for the defender from €60m (£50m) to €70m (£60m).
As per the report, PSG were internally positive that a deal to sign Skrinar could be concluded in the coming days. However, this belief has now been flipped onto its head with Inter playing hardball over their star defender, who Tottenham are also keen on recruiting this summer.
Reports suggest that the north London side are interested in the Serie A side, with Fabio Paratici a huge fan of the defender as the Italian sporting director pushed hard in the last two transfer windows to bring Skriniar to north London, attempts which both failed.
However, whilst Tottenham could still be unsuccessful in their attempt to sign Skriniar this summer, this huge development from PSG could be the kick Paratici needs to push Inter for a third time to sign the Serie A superstar, who could be sensational for Antonio Conte’s side.
Indeed, whilst the Tottenham manager has sign Clement Lenglet on loan from FC Barcelona, Skriniar would be an exciting and more permanent option for the north London side, and this news from Paris could be exactly what Spurs needed to secure the transfer.
Tottenham should be looking to beat PSG to Skriniar signing

Skriniar looks set to leave Inter this summer with the Italian giants eager to balance their books and secure one big transfer out of the club, and for the longest time, PSG looked to be the defender’s destination, but following this latest update, things could be a lot different, and Tottenham should be looking to pounce.
Conte has worked with Skriniar during their Serie A title-winning season in 2021, and Daniel Levy has shown this summer that he is willing to back to Italian manager ahead of an exciting year for the north London side, and Skriniar could be one final genius signing for the Premier League club.
