The Athletic have reported that Leeds United and Nottingham Forest target and Wolverhampton Wanderers attacking midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White grew up admitting Everton manager Frank Lampard’s exploits for Chelsea and England.
Leeds target Gibbs-White grew up admiring Everton boss Lampard
The report has claimed that Everton are keen on signing Gibbs-White from Premier League rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer transfer window and are willing to pay £25 million for him.
The playmaker is reportedly a big fan of Lampard, having watched the Everton manager star in midfield for Chelsea and England while growing up.
The Athletic have claimed that Nottingham Forest are ready to rival Everton in terms of a transfer fee for the 22-year-old, ‘potentially breaking their transfer record’.
The same publication reported on June 1 that Leeds want to sign the youngster attacking midfielder.

Advantage the Toffees?
In our view, Everton could have an advantage over Leeds United and Nottingham Forest in the race for Morgan Gibbs-White due to Frank Lampard.
If Gibbs-White admires Lampard, then the playmaker could be tempted to work under the former England international and learn from him.
Everton may have fought for survival in the Premier League last season, but they are a big club with a massive fanbase and are still appealing.
