Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City have reached verbal agreement in principle over the transfer of Oleksandr Zinchenko in the summer transfer window.

The well-known and well-respected journalist has reported that Arsenal will pay Premier League rivals Manchester City £30 million in transfer fees for the 25-year-old, who can operate as a left-back or in midfield.

Arsenal are now discussing the salary of Zinchenko and the Ukraine international’s length of contract, according to Romano.

Transfer happening

It seems that Arsenal are now on the verge of signing Oleksandr Zinchenko from Manchester City.

Zinchenko is a very good player who is versatile and is still only 25.

The Ukrainian has the potential to get even better, and working under Mikel Arteta at Arsenal, he is certainly going to improve.

Zinchenko has created nine big chances in 76 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

A transfer fee of £30 million for Zinchenko does sound like a bargain, especially when you consider that he is a serial winner who has won the Premier League title as many as four times with City.
