Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United and Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United have all been linked with Aston Villa midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka.

£20m needed for Arsenal and Newcastle target Carney Chukwuemeka

90min reported earlier this week Arsenal, Newcastle, Manchester United and Manchester City all are interested in signing Chukwuemeka from Premier League rivals Aston Villa in the summer transfer window.

The midfielder has one year left on his contract at the Villans.

TalkSPORT have reported that Villa are willing to sell the 18-year-old midfielder, but they are looking for £20 million in transfer fees.

The report has credited interest in the teenager from Manchester City, Manchester United and Newcastle.

Too expensive?

In our view, £20 million for Carney Chukwuemeka is too expensive.

We do not think that Arsenal, Newcastle, Manchester United or Manchester City will pay £20 million for an 18-year-old who does not have much experience of first-team football.

The England Under-19 international midfielder has made 14 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career, creating one big change in the process.

Now, of course, Chukwuemeka is a very talented player and is one for the future, but we do not think that he is worth £20 million.
