Zombies 3 release date and plot preview

Zombies 3 danced its way onto Disney+ on Friday, July 15th, 2022 while an extended cut will premiere on the Disney Channel on August 12th at 8 pm.

The film continues the story of zombie football player Zed and cheerleader Addison as they embark on their final year at Seabrook High.

After years of squabbles, the town has finally become a safe haven for zombies and humans alike and both Zed and Addison are looking forward to the next stage of their lives, college.

Before the couple can take their next steps, there is one last thing to do in Seabrook as the town prepares to open its brand-new cheer pavilion and Addison invites a host of cheerleading teams from around the world to compete in an international cheer-off.

However, the competition also attracts the attention of a group of intergalactic outsiders as a group of aliens arrive in Seabrook to compete – although the residents of the town quickly grow suspicious of the new arrivals when they discover that they may be looking for more than just friendly competition.

Will there be a Zombies 4?

No, there will not be a Zombies 4.

When the third film in the Zombies series was announced by Disney in 2021, it was also confirmed to be the final instalment.

Speaking as part of the announcement and quoted by TVLine, Lauren Kisilevsky, Vice President of Original Movies for Disney Branded Television said: “After the enormous success of Zombies 2, we wanted to raise the stakes in this third and final instalment.

“So when the ultimate outsiders descend on Seabrook, our team of cheerleaders, zombies and werewolves must band together to face a threat of galactic proportions that may change the face of Seabrook forever.”

The announcement that Zombies will not be continuing for a fourth film comes as little surprise, given the fact that Zed and Addison are in their final year at Seabrook High.

But fans will undoubtedly be disappointed that the film series won’t continue to explore their adventures at college, especially as the final moments of Zombies 3 teased the arrival of mermaids to Seabrook and Bucky smuggling himself aboard the alien’s Mothership.

Fans demand a fourth Zombies movie

Despite Disney officially announcing the end of the Zombies franchise, fans of the fun-filled movies are not going quietly, with many taking to social media to plead for a fourth film.

One fan on Twitter wrote: “Okay so I just finished the entire film and that cannot be the end of Zombies 3, we need a Zombies 4.”

While another added: “Just watched Zombies 3. We need a zombie 4 someday.”

This fan directed their tweet at lead cast members Milo Manheim and Meg Donnelly saying: “Dear @MiloManheim and @ImMegDonnelly, I’m crying and it’s all your fault. I love you but AAAAAAAA. I need Zombies 4 or I’ll die, thanks.”

“Y’all better support and give so much love to Zombies 3 so we can have Zombies 4 soon,” commented this fan. “I don’t want it to end! I know they already said that Z3 is the last one but I’m still hoping they’ll have Z4 soon.”

This fan simply said: “I need a Zombies 4.”

And finally, this fan has an idea of what they want to see in a fourth film: “We need a Zombies 4 with more Willa and A-Spen and Addison’s blue hair without the alien clothes! Also, I wanna see some vampires and mermaids.”
