Give Me Sport claim that Tomas Soucek is causing ‘frustration’ at West Ham amid talks over a new contract – with Tottenham, Everton, Newcastle and Aston Villa all said to be keeping tabs on the Czech midfielder’s situation.
Soucek, 27, initially joined West Ham on loan in January 2020 before signing permanently that summer. He has been a pivotal part of the second David Moyes era, scoring 18 goals from midfield in 101 appearances for the Hammers.
However, Soucek is now in his final two years at West Ham. Talks are ongoing to renew his contract – but he is also garnering Premier League interest. Reports claim that Tottenham, Everton, Newcastle and Villa would all like Soucek.

Now, moves to extend his contract are causing ‘frustration’ among those higher up than Soucek at West Ham. It might be that eventually, the two parties fail to agree. The Sun report that Soucek could go for just £30million.
Soucek causing frustration: Tottenham and Newcastle keeping tabs
What a signing he would be for any Premier League club, other than the top two. Soucek is a player that can change a game against even the best sides. It is of utmost importance that West Ham keep him on board.
But which club needs Soucek the most, from the four that are keen? Spurs have signed Yves Bissouma and are well-stocked in the middle of the park. Aston Villa may have to sell Douglas Luiz before considering a move.
Everton and Newcastle would benefit the most. They need another midfielder alongside Joelinton and Bruno Guimaraes, while the Toffees could lose Allan and have already waved goodbye to Donny van de Beek.
