Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are about to beat Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea, Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United and Wolverhampton Wolverhampton Wanderers to the signing of Manchester City star Oleksandr Zinchenko, according to The Daily Mail.

Arsenal set to sign Manchester City’s Oleksandr Zinchenko

The Daily Mail are reporting this morning (9:55am, July 15, 2022) that Zinchenko is expected to complete a move to Arsenal from Premier League rivals Manchester City in the coming days.

The Gunners will reportedly pay the Citizens £35 million in transfer fees for the Ukraine international, who can play at left-back and in midfield.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta personally wants the 25-year-old at the Emirates Stadium, according to the report, which has added that there is hope that the two clubs will come to an agreement in the coming days.

This latest update in The Daily Mail will come as a blow to Chelsea, Newcastle and Wolves.

90min have reported that Chelsea, Newcastle and Wolves are among the clubs who have enquired about the Ukrainian, but it seems that it is Arsenal who are about to secure his services.

Good signing for the Gunners

In our view, Manchester City’s Oleksandr Zinchenko would be a good signing for Arsenal in the summer transfer window.

Zinchenko is 25 now, and it is very likely that he will improve and get better in the coming years.

The versatility of the Ukrainian means that he is likely to get more playing time at Arsenal than he normally does at Premier League champions City.

Zinchenko, who has won the Premier League four times with City, made 10 starts and five substitute appearances in the league last season, providing four assists in the process.
