Leeds United transfer target and Wolves midfielder, Morgan Gibbs-White, is ‘keen’ on a move to Everton, according to a report.

The 22-year-old is attracting interest from a number of Premier League clubs, including Leeds, Everton and Crystal Palace, but it seems as though he wants to head to Goodison Park this summer.

iNews report that after Everton had an opening bid knocked back for the all-action midfielder, all the parties involved are still confident that a deal can be concluded for the player.

Last season, Gibbs-White was out on-loan at Championship side, Sheffield United, who were beaten in the semi-finals of the play-offs by eventual winners, Nottingham Forest.

Billy Sharp is one of the more experienced players in the Yorkshire dressing room and the striker liked what he saw from Gibbs-White, including labelling the player as ‘instrumental’ to the team, as he told SUTV last season.

Whilst the England U21 international has thrived in the Championship, he still hasn’t got his engine going in the Premier League, so the £30 odd million being spoken about for his talents is perhaps far-fetched.

The Wolves star only has one goal and assist to his name in the Premier League, so if the Midlands side is able to generate that sort of money for the player, then it really is English tax in full flow.

WHO SHOULD GIBBS-WHITE JOIN?

Whilst the price-tag will be questioned, one thing that can’t be denied is that Gibbs-White is now ready to showcase his talents on the Premier League stage.

He would have felt that he should have been given such a chance last season at Wolves, but they opted to loan him out and he has benefited from that call.

Everton, Leeds and Crystal Palace could do with some attacking injection to their midfield, with the Toffees perhaps more desperate because of their financial situation.

The Merseyside giants have also just sold their star man, Richarlison, to Tottenham and they have now lost an arm in the attacking department.

It seems as though, added with Anthony Gordon, the road Frank Lampard is going to go down is building the team up again with the younger players and Gibbs-White certainly fits that bill.
