Everton have now joined West Ham United in showing an interest in Amadou Onana after Irons boss David Moyes learnt LOSC Lille’s asking price to sell their midfielder this summer.
That’s according to 90min, who note the Hammers are considering submitting a third offer for the 20-year-old. Moyes has so far fallen short in his quest to convince Lille to let Onana move to the London Stadium, having shown the most interest among the Belgian’s suitors.

Lille are loath to let the one-cap technician move for sums below £50m after playing in 31 Ligue 1 games last season. Onana also turned out in eight Champions League ties and even highlighted his versatility with the midfield anchor featuring at centre-half against Chelsea.

Onana additionally has another four years to run on his contract, having signed a five-year deal to move to the Stade Pierre Mauroy from Hamburg last August. Les Dogues also paid just €7m (£6m), but his performances during their troubled campaign have caught the eye.
Everton now join West Ham in Amadou Onana race as Lille set £50m price tag
Everton are now the latest outfit to start showing an interest in signing Onana from Lille in competition to West Ham. Newcastle United are also keen on the Dakar, Senegal-born star but must overcome Moyes’ position as the Scot strives to assemble a top-six worthy team.

Additionally, Sacha Tavolieri notes Arsenal have held talks with Onana’s agent over a move to north London this summer. The Athletic have also cited the Gunners’ interest along with noting that Lille had rejected West Ham’s initial offer of €23m (£19.5m) at the start of July.
Lille again rebuffed West Ham’s advances when Moyes returned with what Sky Sports note was a €30m (£25.5m) offer. And the Irons still have some ground to make up to get Onana, who excelled in France last season with his athletic prowess to dictate the flow of matches.
