The Sunday World claim Sunderland want to sign another Tottenham player this summer in striker Troy Parrott – but they are likely to face competition from other Championship clubs in QPR and Preston.
Parrott, 20, enjoyed an excellent loan spell with MK Dons last season. The 15-time Ireland international helped his side reach the League One play-off semi-finals, only to lose to Wycombe at the first hurdle.
He finished with stats of 17 goal involvements in 47 games – scoring 10 and creating seven. Now, he looks likely to make the step up to the Championship. A previous report said QPR, Middlesbrough, Preston and Swansea are keen.

- Robin Koch an unsung hero at right-back in Leeds’ final games of 21/22
But only a few days after completing a permanent move for Jack Clarke, Sunderland are now looking at Parrott. The report states that Antonio Conte wants to take a look at Parrott before making a decision on the striker.
Sunderland want Tottenham striker Parrott
A loan to a Championship club is perfect for Parrott. It comes after Spurs have now signed Richarlison, who can provide cover for Harry Kane. The club also boast Dane Scarlett – but even he might go out on loan.
Parrott is starting to realise his potential both at club level, and on the international scene. It is clear that with every minute of senior game time, he is improving. He has already played 95 games for club and country.
A move to Sunderland would be ideal. He would link up with Clarke, and Dennis Cirkin – both players whom he has played alongside in Tottenham’s Under-23 set-up. Sunderland obviously have a good relationship with Spurs.
