For so long this summer, Gleison Bremer was a rumoured target of Tottenham Hotspur.
Only last week it was reported that Antonio Conte’s side were set to make an offer to sign the Torino powerhouse, who ‘destroyed’ Dusan Vlahovic in Serie A last season, according to Fabrizio Romano [CBS Sports].
However, it appears as if Tottenham have moved on to other targets.
According to Romano today, Spurs are set to secure a season-long loan deal for Barcelona’s Clement Lenglet.
And with the Frenchman being a similar player to Bremer – a centre-back – it could be assumed that bringing the Brazilian powerhouse to North London is no longer considered a viable option.
And that may be because the player himself has told the Lilywhites that he wouldn’t be joining.
Well, according to a report.
That’s what Corriere Dello Sport claimed this afternoon, that Bremer personally ‘made it clear’ to the North Londoners that he wouldn’t be coming this summer.
Bremer has seemingly elected to join Inter Milan and although some transfers have 11th-hour twists, this one seems relatively advanced at this stage.
According to CDS, the 25-year-old stalwart ‘wants Inter at all costs’ and it looks very unlikely that a move to Tottenham will be materialising at this stage.
