According to the Guardian, West Ham are interested in bringing Ben Brereton Diaz to the Premier League, who is also a target for Leeds.
What’s the story?
Well, the main focus of the Guardian‘s article is Flynn Downes, with West Ham confident of signing the 23-year-old despite strong interest from Crystal Palace.
According to Sky Sports, the midfielder is already on the second part of his medical in east London.
When that deal goes through, David Moyes could turn his attention to Brereton Diaz, who is valued at £15m following a stunning 2021/22 campaign for the Chile international.
The Blackburn No.22 scored 22 goals in 36 Championship appearances last season, with his excellent form catching the eye of Leeds as well.
West Ham are in desperate need of a new striker, as Moyes is yet to replace Sebastien Haller following his move to Ajax in January 2021.

It has been so long, that the Ivory Coast international has even sealed a move to Borussia Dortmund before the Hammers have found his replacement.
Michail Antonio is very prone to injuries, so he cannot be expected to play every minute in attack next season.
Ben Brereton Diaz should choose West Ham over Leeds
In our view, the Stoke-on-Trent born striker should choose the Irons over the Whites.
There is European football on offer at the London Stadium, whereas Leeds are probably among most people’s favourites to go down after what happened last season.

Additionally, a starting role is likelier at West Ham given the lack of depth in attack, whereas Jesse Marsch already has Patrick Bamford and Rodrigo to play up top.
It would be a far more stable environment in east London, which he will need as he makes the step up into the Premier League from the Championship for the first time.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as developments could happen once a deal for Downes is finalised.
