Leeds United have signed Tyler Adams – and he already loves his new teammate Junior Firpo within hours of being together.

The Whites continue to be busy in the transfer market and have secured three new signings this week alone.

Darko Gyabi joined from Manchester City on Monday whilst Luis Sinisterra arrived from Feyenoord earlier today.

The middle signing was midfielder Tyler Adams, who completed a permanent move from RB Leipzig on Wednesday.

Adams worked with boss Jesse Marsch at New York Red Bulls and Red Bull Leipzig, so a reunion does make perfect sense.

Leeds needed new blood in midfield in an attempt to replace Kalvin Phillips, who joined Manchester City earlier this week.

Adams will be relied upon to replace the Leeds midfield maestro, partnering Marc Roca in a new-look Leeds engine room.

Adams hasn’t even been a Leeds player for 48 hours yet, but he already loves one Leeds player.

Speaking to the Yorkshire Post, Adams noted that he has already hit it off with Junior Firpo.

Firpo joined Leeds from Barcelona last summer and endured a difficult first season in the Premier League.

Firpo is looking to prove himself to Leeds fans but he already has one fan in new signing Adams.

Adams claims that he immediately had great banter with Firpo, claiming that the Spaniard is just a really ‘funny guy’.

Adams admitted that he can’t wait to get amongst more banter in the Leeds dressing room, seemingly feeling a difficulty to connect with the RB Leipzig dressing room.

There are lots of German and French speakers in the Leipzig squad and Adams will now love being around English speakers once again in the Leeds dressing room.

“I met Junior Firpo who’s a funny guy, and immediately had banter,” said Adams. “That’s one of the things I’m really excited about – just to have that banter again, be myself, be able to speak my native language and just get on with the guys,” he added.
