Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have made a bid for midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, but his Lazio manager Maurizio Sarri wants him to join Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea instead, according to Il Messaggero.
Arsenal make bid for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic
The Italian publication has claimed that Arsenal have made an offer of €50-55 million (£43.06-£47.36 million) for Lazio midfielder Milinkovic-Savic.
The Serbia international midfielder’s agent, Mateja Kezman, has made it clear that he will leave Lazio in the summer transfer window.
Arsenal’s offer for Milinkovic-Savic does not satisfy Lazio chairman Claudio Lotito, according to Il Messaggero, who have added that Sarri wants him to move to Chelsea so that he can bring Emerson and Ruben Loftus-Cheek from his former club.

Could a transfer happen?
In our view, Arsenal are unlikely to raise their offer for Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, who earns £95,000 per week (SalarySport).
If Lazio do not want to sell the Serbian for €50-55 million (£43.06-£47.36 million), then we do not think that the Gunners will pay more.
Now, of course, all teams could do with reinforcements, but Arsenal are well stocked in the midfield department for the time bein.
Yes, Milinkovic-Savic is a very good and experienced midfielder who would make any team better, but we do not think that Arsenal will break the bank for him.
