Leeds are closing in on Tyler Adams after making a bid to sign the RB Leipzig midfielder – and they have even discussed personal terms.
The Whites have enjoyed a positive start to the window after signing Brenden Aaronson, Rasmus Kristensen and Marc Roca.
Yet things may soon get a little tricky for Leeds with Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha attracting major interest.
Should those players leave, Leeds must bring in top-quality replacements if they are to move forward under Jesse Marsch.
Replacing Phillips will be a difficult task but Marsch appears to have one of his favourites in mind for the role.
Leeds are closing in on Tyler Adams
RB Leipzig midfielder Tyler Adams has been heavily linked with Leeds of late and a deal appears to be moving closer.
Sky Germany report that Adams is now ‘set to move’ to the Premier League with Leeds his most likely destination.
It’s claimed that Leeds have a ‘concrete’ interest in Adams and an offer has already been made to Leipzig.
That offer is believed to be around €15million (£13million) and a salary has already been negotiated with the American.
Marsch is key to this pursuit having coached Adams at New York Red Bulls and then with Leipzig last season.

Marsch wanted reunions with Aaronson and Kristensen from his Red Bull Salzburg days and got them; now it’s Adams potentially heading for Elland Road.
The now-Leeds boss has previously hailed Adams as a ‘special player’ and their reunion at Leeds shouldn’t surprise anyone.
Adams, 23, only started 12 Bundesliga games last season but has major potential and should play a much bigger role at Leeds.
We may now see the tenacious and energetic Adams operate alongside more of a deep-lying playmaker in Roca.
That just brings new life to the Leeds midfield, and whilst losing Phillips would be a huge blow, that partnership could be very exciting for the future.
