TalkSPORT have reported that West Ham United are Jesse Lingard’s preferred club, amid interest from Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur and Frank Lampard’s Everton.
Lingard is a free agent at the moment after leaving Manchester United, and the Englishman’s first choice club are West Ham, according to the report.
However, the 29-year-old attacking midfielder is reportedly demanding £150,000 per week as salary, and that is an issue for the Hammers.
Journalist Alex Crook said on talkSPORT (9:40am, July 2, 2022): “West Ham, as I understand, is still his preferred destination.
He had a pretty good loan spell under David Moyes, firing them into Europe, but his wage demands are a problem.
“£150,000 a week is what I have been quoted he is looking for. That brings Everton into play, Frank Lampard very keen to strengthen his midfield as well. The other club that have been mentioned are Tottenham.”
Tottenham, Everton and West Ham want Jesse Lingard
90min reported this week that West Ham manager David Moyes is personally pushing for a move for Lingard, who can also operate as a winger and had a loan spell at London Stadium during the second half of the 2020-21 season.
The Telegraph have reported this month that Tottenham are interested in signing Lingard on a free transfer this summer.

The Athletic have reported that Everton are keen on Lingard, described as “fantastic” by former Newcastle United goalkeeper Shay Given on Sky Sports News (9:25pm, January 31, 2022).
Summer transfer
In our view, the future of Jesse Lingard is not going to be resolved anytime soon amid interest from Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Everton.
Now, we know how good Lingard can be when he gets a regular run of games, but the 29-year-old did not play much for Manchester United last season.
A weekly salary of £150,000 does seem a lot for an attacking player who has scored 29 goals and 21 big chances in 165 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
