Everton want Emmanuel Dennis and the Watford attacker may be available for around £20million this summer as the Toffees seek a Richarlison replacement.

Everton sold attacker Richarlison to Tottenham Hotspur on Friday after weeks of speculation surrounding a potential exit.

Richarlison bagged 10 goals in 30 Premier League games last season and had a strong rapport with Everton fans.

Letting him leave won’t have been easy, but Everton simply had to take a deal worth £50million rising to £60million.

Everton have been up against it cash-wise but now have some room to manoeuvre – and may have a Richarlison replacement in mind.

Everton want Emmanuel Dennis

The London Evening Standard now claim that Dennis features among Everton’s top targets to replace Richarlison this summer.

Dennis suffered relegation with Watford last season and my well be tempted to make an instant Premier League return.

It’s stated that Watford are willing to sell Dennis for a fee of around £20million – a fraction of the Richarlison fee.

Dennis, 24, was Watford’s shining light last season as he racked up 10 goals and six assists in 33 Premier League games.

The Nigerian international impressed for Watford and will have attracted admiring glances from Premier League clubs.

Everton are just one of them and you can understand why they fancy replacing Richarlison with Dennis.

Richarlison had the flexibility to play up front or out wide and Dennis can offer that same flexibility.

Dennis may not be quite as rounded as Richarlison but he offers pace, movement and the finishing ability that Everton need.

Everton may even be able to negotiate down from that £20million price tag in an effort to lure Dennis over to Goodison Park.

Everton went shopping at Watford to sign Richarlison in the first place and could now repeat the trick by signing his replacement in Dennis.
