Tottenham may now keep Emerson Royal this summer after rejecting an offer from Atletico Madrid for the Brazilian right back.
Tottenham have been focusing on incomings so far this summer with three new faces already added.
Three more looks set to arrive soon with Clement Lenglet, Djed Spence and Richarlison all looking close to joining.
The attention may soon turn to outgoings with Steven Bergwijn, Harry Winks, Sergio Reguilon and Joe Rodon potentially available.
As for Emerson Royal, the future seems a little unclear.
Tottenham may now keep Emerson Royal
Emerson joined Tottenham on deadline day last summer as Barcelona chose to cash in on the Brazilian defender.
Previously highly-rated and coming off a strong spell with Real Betis, the hope was that Emerson would shine in the Premier League.
That’s not really how it panned out though as Emerson flattered to deceive in his first Premier League campaign.
Emerson struggled to really mesh as a right wing back in Antonio Conte’s 3-4-3 system, with his end product and lack of dribbling ability proving to be problems.
Many expected Emerson to be moving on this summer, especially with Spence seemingly set to join from Middlesbrough.
Yet Sky Sports claim that Tottenham have now rejected a season-long loan bid from Atletico Madrid for Emerson.

Atletico were keen last summer and Diego Simeone still seems keen on luring Emerson to the Spanish capital.
The report even claims that Tottenham have no interest of letting Emerson leave just a year since his £26million move.
That is somewhat surprising and may hint that Conte thinks he can get a little bit more out of Emerson moving.
Keeping Emerson would also leave Matt Doherty in danger of being sold this summer, as Tottenham would be unlikely to carry three right wing backs.
It may also be a negotiation tactic though; Tottenham can show a strong stance in an effort to tempt Atletico in a permanent bid for 23-year-old.
This is one to keep an eye on with Tottenham right wing back ranks seemingly in flux ahead of the new season.
