Galatasaray and Fenerbahce are targeting Artem Dovbyk but the Nottingham Forest target is prioritising a move to somewhere like the Premier League, the Ukraine international’s agent tells Sport Arena.
Nottingham Forest marked their return to the big time with the club-record £17.5 million signing of Union Berlin hitman Taiwo Awoniyi in June.
But there is still room for another new centre-forward at the City Ground. Particularly considering Sam Surridge’s top-flight inexperience and following the departure of Aston Villa loanee Keinan Davis. Lewis Grabban, meanwhile, will become a free-agent on Friday.
And The Star reported recently that Nottingham Forest were weighing up a £10 million bid for 24-year-old Dovbyk.
Aleksey Lundovsky, who represents the 6ft 2ins Ukrainian, then told Sport Arena that Forest had indeed entered discussions.
Three weeks on, things have gone quiet. But, Forest’s first top-flight game in 20 years now just over a month away, negotiations could quickly go into overdrive.

Lundovsky insists that Dovbyk’s priority remains to secure a move to one of Europe’s major leagues, delivering a blow to the likes of Galatasaray, Fenerbahce and Besiktas.
“Yes, all four of the leading Turkish clubs are showing interest in Artem,” the agent says. “But first of all, we are still focusing on the top European leagues and concrete work is being done in this direction.
“Unfortunately, lately I have often had to make rebuttals. So I would ask our media to pay less attention to the reports from the Turkish press.”
Lundovsky adds that neither Dovbyk nor his current employers – Dnipro – would accept a short-term loan deal. The striker scored a highly impressive 14 goals in 18 games during the 2021/22 campaign.
