According to 90min, Arsenal are set to hold talks with Torino over a deal for Gleison Bremer, who is also wanted by Tottenham.
What’s the story?
Well, Davide Vagnati – Sporting Director at Torino – has been sent to London by Club President Urbano Cairo in the hope of igniting a bidding war between Arsenal and Tottenham, as well as Chelsea.
The trio of London clubs are all interested in Bremer, who was named Defender of the Year in Serie A last season after making 33 appearances in Italy’s top-flight, scoring three goals.
Liverpool have also been credited with an interest in the Brazilian.
90min believe Torino are hoping to receive €50m (£43m) for their defensive colossus, who is expected to pledge his international allegiance to Italy.

In what is a boost to Mikel Arteta and Antonio Conte, Chelsea are mainly exploring deals for Jules Kounde, Matthijs de Ligt and Kalidou Koulibaly, but would step up their tentative interest in Bremer if talks with Torino went well.
Ultimately, 90min believe Inter Milan are the side most interested in Bremer, as they are expecting to lose Milan Skriniar to Paris Saint-Germain and are in need of a replacement.
Gleison Bremer would be mad to choose Arsenal over Tottenham
In our view, we’d be very surprised if Bremer chose to join the Gunners instead of Spurs.
With all due respect to Arsenal, Tottenham are in the Champions League, whereas Arteta will have to contend with Europa League football in the 2022/23 campaign.
Bremer would also have the chance to work with an elite coach in Conte, who specialises in making sure defenders improve under his guidance.

Additionally, Spurs are in need of another centre-back to play alongside Cristian Romero and Eric Dier, whereas Arsenal only use a two-man pairing in the centre-back department, with Ben White and Gabriel Magalhães regular starters.
In that respect, we feel Bremer has a better chance of regular game time at Tottenham.
Whatever happens, be sure to keep an eye on the situation, as more should become clear once Vagnati leaves London.
