Serie A whizzkid Destiny Udogie admits that he’s flattered to be ‘approached by top-level clubs’ like Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur, speaking to Tuttomercatoweb.
The Italy U21 international will have to wait, however, before a move to one of those ‘top-level clubs’ comes to fruition. At least, with his 20th birthday still months away, Udogie has plenty of time on his side.
Sky Sports claimed earlier this month that Fabio Paratici, the Spurs director with plenty of contacts in the Italian game, met with the teenager’s representatives to discuss a potential summer move to North London.
That was before Udinese director Pierpaolo Marino all-but ruled out selling Udogie just 12 months after he arrived from Hellas Verona.
“We’re not used to selling our talents after one season,” Marino said.
“It’s difficult to see Udogie leaving this summer. We’re convinced that if he stays with us for another season, we’ll have a clearer idea of his value. (His current price-tag) is difficult to determine after just one season.”
Tottenham and Juventus like Udinese whizzkid Destiny Udogie

According to Tuttosport, Udinese have already turned down bids from not just Tottenham but also Juventus in recent times.
Udogie, an attack-minded left-wing back who’d suit Antonio Conte’s 3-5-2 formation down to the mind, contributed five goals and three assists to the Zebrette cause in 2021/22, his price-tag soaring to somewhere in the region of £17 million as a result.
“It is very nice to be approached by top-level clubs,” Udogie admits.
“I live serenely, thinking about the football pitch. My agents think about the market. They know my thoughts and have my total trust.”
Tottenham have already signed one Italy-based wing-back this summer. Ivan Perisic, arguably the finest footballer in the whole of Serie A last term, has reunited with Antonio Conte after an outstanding campaign at runners’ up Inter Milan.
