Reported Tottenham Hotspur target Nathan Ake is open to leaving Manchester City for Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea in the summer transfer window, according to The Telegraph.
The Telegraph have reported that Chelsea are ‘optimistic’ of reaching an agreement with Premier League rivals Manchester City over the transfer of Netherlands international central defender Ake.
The defender himself is ‘open to the prospect of a return to Stamford Bridge’, according to the report, which has added that Chelsea and Premier League champions City have held positive talks over a potential transfer of the 27-year-old.
It was only earlier today that 90min reported that Tottenham Hotspur are considering a move for Ake.
West Ham United, Aston Villa, Bournemouth and Newcastle United all are also claimed to be interested in the 27-year-old Dutchman.

Chelsea over Tottenham Hotspur for Nathan Ake
In our view, Chelsea would be more appealing than Tottenham Hotspur for Manchester City central defender Nathan Ake, who earns £100,000 per week (SalarySport).
Ake is a former Chelsea player who could not make a huge impact on the first team and could feel that he has unfinished business at Stamford Bridge.
With Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen having left Chelsea, Ake could become a first-choice centre-back at the Blues straightaway.
Moreover, Chelsea regularly challenge for and win major trophies and would be able to meet Ake’s salary demands.
