Leeds United want Tyler Adams and are now speaking to the RB Leipzig midfielder about a big move to Elland Road this summer.

The Whites may have made a strong start to the window with three new signings but things may be about to get a little more difficult.

Kalvin Phillips looks set for a move to Manchester City whilst Arsenal and Barcelona are fighting for winger Raphinha.

Those exits would certainly dampen the buzz after bringing in Brenden Aaronson, Rasmus Kristensen and Marc Roca.

Still, major cash would come into Leeds should Phillips and Raphinha go, which may just allow Marsch to bring in quality replacements.

Leeds United want Tyler Adams

It now seems that Leeds have a first choice in mind to replace Phillips and it’s RB Leipzig ace Tyler Adams.

This is no great surprise given his connections to Leeds boss Jesse Marsch.

Adams played under Marsch at New York Red Bulls and the pair then reunited at Leipzig last summer.

Marsch’s time at Leipzig didn’t go to plan but he has previously talked up Adams as a ‘special player’.

The Yorkshire Evening Post now claim that Leeds are in talks with Adams over making the move to Elland Road this summer.

Joining forces with Marsch again has to be appealing whilst Adams also needs to think about his World Cup prospects.

Whilst likely to be in the United States squad anyway, Adams started just 12 league games last season and would surely play a bigger role at Leeds.

That’s something for the 23-year-old to think about as Leeds initiate contact with the midfielder over a big move to the Premier League.

The plan would seemingly be for Adams and Roca to form a new midfield partnership at Leeds, hoping that between them they can replace the impact of Phillips at Elland Road.
