Arsenal are still chasing Raphinha and are now set to hold further talks with the Leeds United star’s representatives this week.

The Gunners have already brought in three new signings this summer with Matt Turner, Marquinhos and Fabio Vieira now on board.

Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus looks set to follow and there could even be a deal for Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez.

A real bonus would be the signing of Leeds winger Raphinha as Mikel Arteta continues to chase major additions at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal are still chasing Raphinha

Goal Brasil now report that Arsenal are really pushing to bring Raphinha to North London.

It’s suggested that Barcelona just can’t afford to buy Raphinha despite chasing him for many months.

That has now given Arsenal hope of a deal and they allegedly plan to meet with Raphinha’s representatives again this week.

Edu is understood to have already met with Raphinha’s main agent Deco in an attempt to tee up a big deal.

More meetings are now coming this week with Arsenal seemingly gaining hope of luring Raphinha to the capital.

It’s even noted that whilst Leeds are saying they want £65million, Raphinha’s representatives think £50million would get the deal done.

Tottenham Hotspur also want to sign Raphinha but have allegedly not yet opened negotiations to land him.

This leaves Arsenal at the front of the queue for Raphinha and the talks this week could shape the Gunners’ hopes.

Raphinha, 25, bagged 11 goals and three assists in 35 Premier League appearances last season, including a vital goal on the final day of the season to help Leeds secure survival.

The World Cup is just around the corner and Raphinha seemingly feels that he needs a big move this summer to nail down his spot in the Brazil team.

Reuniting with his former Avai teammate Gabriel Magalhaes may also appeal to Raphinha and Edu could really push home a deal this week.
