According to A Bola, Leeds United are set to submit a second bid for Porto’s Otavio after having their first offer knocked back.

The Whites initially offered €30m (£25m) for the midfielder, but according to this report, a second bid worth €40m (£34m) is on its way.

Whether or not Porto decide to accept this bid remains to be seen, but such a huge offer will certainly give the Portuguese champions something to think about.

Unfortunately for Leeds, the Yorkshire club are not the only outfit that are interested in the Portugal international.

Indeed, according to this report, the midfielder is wanted by a number of Premier League sides, and it’s not hard to understand why.

Labelled a ‘great talent’ by Iker Casillas, Otavio has been a star of the Portuguese league for quite some time now, and after Luis Diaz’s incredible start to life in the Premier League, there’s reason to believe that Otavio could follow in his footsteps and translate his talents to England’s top-flight.

It’s unknown who the other interested parties are, but we wouldn’t be surprised at all if Wolves or Liverpool were having a look at the 27-year-old.

Jurgen Klopp is a big fan of the player, reportedly requesting that he be signed this time last year, while Wolves’ links to Portugal are there for all to see, and they have even been linked in the past.

Leeds seem to be keen to add a new attacking midfielder to their squad, and Otavio certainly seems to be one to keep an eye on.
