Speaking on the Tottenham Fan Chris Cowlin YouTube channel, The Sun’s chief sports writer Martin Lipton has been discussing Spurs’ transfer plans and Djed Spence.
Tottenham are known to be very interested in Spence, and Lipton is led to believe that a deal for the Middlesbrough wing-back is going to happen.
The defender is one of Spurs’ top targets, and while the two parties may be £5m apart in their valuations right now, this journalist believes that it’s just a matter of time before Spence joins Spurs.
What’s been said?
Lipton was asked to give his view on Tottenham’s transfer business.
“Clearly Spurs are very interested in Djed Spence and I am assuming this is going to happen. The reserve goalkeeper, I think Forster will make a few appearances, and clearly Bissouma is a quality signing, he was outstanding for Brighton, he’s a top player and there is more quality straight away,” Lipton said.

No reason not to
Tottenham are clearly massive admirers of Spence, and at this point, there appears to be no reason for the London club not to sign him.
The right wing back would be a great fit for Antonio Conte’s system, he’s a young, homegrown player and at a reported fee of just £15m, he may well be a bargain addition.
Spence had a fantastic season at Nottingham Forest last time around, and with the right tutelage from Conte, it may not be long before he’s transformed into a Premier League superstar.
Lipton is led to believe that this deal will happen, so keep an eye on this one.
